About DrumOrama
DrumOrama is a structured drum school focused on long-term practice and clear working frameworks.
The school operates through defined paths and consistent scheduling.
There is no required progression and no promise of outcomes.
Guidance is used differently depending on context and responsibility.
Over time, responsibility gradually shifts to the student.
What DrumOrama Is
-
A school built around structure and continuity
-
A working environment, not a motivational platform
-
A place where time and responsibility matter
DrumOrama does not operate through short-term goals or performance narratives.
What DrumOrama Is Not
-
It is not a results-driven program
-
It does not promise improvement or examination success
-
It does not operate through constant instruction
Learning happens through structure, time, and engagement with the instrument.
The Role of the Teacher
The teacher’s role is not fixed.
At times, guidance is direct and explicit.
At other times, intervention is minimal and precisely timed.
This shift is part of the working framework and does not require explanation in advance.
Context
DrumOrama works with beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.
Some work takes place within formal examination contexts, including those of the London College of Music (LCM).
Examination alignment describes context, not outcome.
DrumOrama exists to support long-term engagement with the instrument,
not to define success or measure progress.
